Deep Gulf Heads to New Orleans

December 5-7, 2007 finds DeepGulf 2007 at the New Orleans Hilton Riverside and Conference

Center. The industry looks forward to visiting one of the world’s great deepwater centers. The

Offshore Industry continues to play a critical role in the re-development of New Orleans and

are happy that DeepGulf becomes the 1st major deepwater event to take place there since

Hurricane Katrina. The location offers a unique place for those working in New Orleans to

access the technical and networking opportunities lost since Katrina.

 

We are happy to announce Devon as official Host of DG2007.  With an aggressive exploration plan for the Deepwater Gulf of Mexico, Devon promises to be one of the most active players for many years. 

 

As this year’s theme, “Gulf of Mexico Deepwater Projects - Lessons Learned...Current

Challenges...Future Trends”, illustrates, the technical program focuses on all the challenges

surrounding one of the world’s most challenging environments...the Deepwater Gulf of Mexico.

In order to bring more focus on the Gulf of Mexico, we have decided to combine our longstanding

Subsea conference, Subsea Houston, with DeepGulf. This will allow the Advisory

Committee to keep its GOM focus, while providing a technical agenda whose topics cover

Engineering, Fabrication, Subsea Interface, Deepwater Installation and Construction, as well

as exploring the contractual and financial risks of multi-billion dollar projects.

 

The technical agenda of DeepGulf has had a 98%+ approval rating from attendees (based on

attendee surveys rating the technical program “good” or “excellent”); this combined with instant

audience response from our ARS system promotes much more audience interaction than in

other conferences.

 

The Networking Agenda continues to expand with a highlight of the Exhibit floor; longer coffee

breaks, dessert/coffee following lunches, plus 2 receptions allow all attendees considerably

more time for networking than at other shows. This, combined with our 3rd Annual DeepGulf

golf tournament, as well as several “offsite” social events, mean attending DeepGulf offers the
